Teddy and Famous People

As we are all very aware, teddy bears have been owned and loved by thousands of people Worldwide older, regardless of their age, nationality or gender, and by both rich and poor, but we realize how much famous people have owned a teddy bear?

Politicians, members of the royal family, Sportsmen and women, Pop Stars and movie stars have all been known to have a special teddy bear. Many celebrities have their own to finally admit to having owned a teddy bear that they loved, even if it is only in recent decades that the possession and love a teddy bear did not have a stigma attached to it. Previously, like a teddy bear has been considered a little child or you were considered a little eccentric. Fortunately, however, we can now shout from the rooftops that you love teddy bears!

Alexis Tarnoff, the famous dancer, received a teddy bear when he was only five years (he was born in 1901 – just before the bear made its appearance). His teddy bear was painted black eyes start button and it is mohair. It is quite an unusual type of teddy bear, arms and legs are quite narrow and they are attached his body with external metal fittings, which look like large metal buttons, which bear the name "shield". In Indeed, this bear does look a lot like the teddy bear in the early French, dating from 1920 – 1930, and the bears were all exterior joints as sound. The problem is that if this were the case, dates, etc. do not match, so I guess his teddy bear will always be somewhat a mystery. Unfortunately Alexis Tarnoff death in 1989, we can not ask him more about the history of his old bear. However, trying to find the story of a teddy bear is often very interesting and exciting and that really does add to the excitement of collecting teddy bears.

The death of Dame Barbara Cartland, who was famous for writing romantic novels, had a teddy bear that she called The Prince of Love. She said that it embodies version bears Teddy's romantic hero. The Prince of Love has been decorated by a variety of jewelry that were handed out at him by Ms. Cartland. He had sewn earrings and down her arms and ears and he wore a beautiful pink ribbon around the neck (Mrs Cartland was always famous for wearing pink itself). She dressed her teddy bear to watch, as she said, as an Indian prince. Barbara has even written a poem for his special Teddy beloved.

Dame Judi Dench, the famous actress who, among many other roles, is famous for playing "M" in James Bond movies lately, it has been a collector of teddy bears enthusiast for many years. She now has more than 100 teddy bear his collection, his favorite teddy bear is her first she calls "gray". Gray is wearing a beautiful green pants.

Ringo Starr (Beatles drummer) Panda has a very large which was given in 1976 by Keith Moon (the famous drummer with WHO). It was obviously love at first view that the two became almost inseparable. Ringo called his Panda "Chairman of the Board of Directors," as he now lives on the whole business meetings of Ringo. The Chairman of the Board of Directors has received a pair of white gloves that once belonged to Marc Bolan (T-Rex fame).

The great poet Sir John Betjeman (1906 – 1984) was a teddy bear beloved who has been made by the famous German company Steiff (to 1910). Sir John derived great comfort from his teddy bear he named "Archibald". Sir John Archibald even wrote in his poetry (Appointed the bells). When he died, Archibald was in his arms.

Bear Teddy Bears have also been very active in Parliament. Edwina Currie called "Omar" would often sit on his desk in the House of Commons that his fetish. Sometimes, Edwina would practice his speeches on him and not once did he moan or answer.

The late Dr. Marjorie (Mo) Mowlana had a large and, as she called it, "rather ugly" Teddy Bear that his father had bought for her when she was a small child, he bought him from the office of local tobacco it called "Growler".

Ex Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher had a big teddy bear that she called "Humphrey" that has been made of sheepskin with brown leather end, it is born about 1930. During the 1980s, he lived with the Prime Minister at No 10 Downing Street, London, of course, that was when he was not far from the office doing important work the charity. Humphrey was a great bear over 22 inches tall. Unfortunately, the poor old Humphrey went to Teddy Bear Heaven in 1988 after being placed in the washing machine.

The late Earl Mountbatten of Burman (1900 – 1979), rose to become lord of the Wed first. He had a beautiful and beloved Steiff Bears (circa 1904). Presumably, his teddy bear was given to him by one of his German parents.

BBC Gardener famous, Alan Titchmarsh has a bear that he calls "Teddy", who is seated on a chair outside his bedroom door. Unfortunately, the bear has lost most of his jokes from his hands. Although his head is still quite firmly attached, it seems to "lean" to one side. Poor old Teddy smiled Alan Biro friendly smile that put on him to replace his black sewed.

Shirley Temple sang the beautiful song Me And My Teddy Bear and later the song was covered by many artists such as Peter Gabriel, Sharron Corr and Rosemary Clooney.

There are really lots of Pop Stars, movie stars and people in show biz who possessed teddy bears, many too many to mention in this article and many other famous poeple too, like Donald Campbell (speed record holder of the land and water). Amy Johnson (who flew solo from England to Australia), Willie Carson (comedian) Jimmy Hill (sports commentator), and so on and so on …..

It is very clear to us that even the rich and famous need the love, support and comfort of a teddy bear. Is it really no end to his love?
