Dying to know the secrets of Elmo Live, one of the hottest toys this season?

Let me end the suspense by saying that Elmo Live is a fantastic toy, and I do not say that very often on the dozens of toys that I run every week.

I am committed to seasonal toys (for the sixth consecutive year!) and I spend a lot of time explaining the popular toys to customers. I also work the customer service desk, so I get to know all about the toys that customers bring back, too.

Over the years I’ve become a sort of toy information broker. I get no-holds-barred product reviews from children and clients, and I pass them on to consumers who are about to open their wallets.

First, Elmo Live is a super fun, interactive toy designed for toddlers 18 months and older, although I have seen children even younger who smile, laugh and point their finger when they see Elmo Live on the shelf. It is the power of Elmo’s wonderful image and character.

Here is my list of Elmo Live features that I personally tested it myself (OK, played with). These comments also take into account customer feedback that we receive in abundance at the shop. If you want, you can use these observations and real-world observations to guide your decision purchase.

Super Quality. One of the criteria used by the toy industry to assess the success of the product is the number of returns, which for Elmo Live have been shockingly low. I say this because new toys that push the envelope of technology and interactivity, are often returned en masse. Usually, the time I get to play with a toy selection is when I’m repackaging of return (sorry, boss). Not this season. I had to get all my game time from the model Elmo Live Demo during coffee breaks.
Perfect Choice. Elmo is the flagship character of the Sesame Street brand. Elmo is a character that both parents and children love. As I said, even before toddlers recognize him immediately. Elmo Live is flying off the shelves as much for reasons of trust and recognition for animatronics its advance. So if you need a quick gift for a toddler, Elmo Live is the perfect choice.
Does it all! Elmo Live speaks, sings, laughs, jokes, tells stories and dances. Pushing any of its pressure points, such as tickling his nose, foot, stomach or back will create different reactions, each more entertaining. It comes with a small blue plastic chair. He sits down, crosses he legs and tells a story. He flails his arms, tilts his head way back, opens his mouth (in sync with speech), bows and twists. He is the complete package of entertainment.
Elmo Live is the image of his TV character. Fisher-Price has really captured the essence of Elmo’s personality in the device photo. It is equally ridiculous, funny, affectionate, spontaneous and crazy as he is on Sesame Street. I do not often find such a perfect representation in other toys / dolls / figurines that spin-off of TV and film to toy-store shelves. So the good news with Elmo Live is that you get exactly what you hoped for.
Education, too! Elmo Live is very polite. He will model correct behavior to your child, nephew, niece or godchild.
Batteries included! Yes You read that right! Elmo Live comes with 6 AA batteries. Fisher-Price has also carefully designed a power down in the toy. If Elmo Live does not receive any attention for a few minutes, he will considerately shut himself down to save on batteries.

The store where I work has a limit on purchases of Elmo Live. You can not buy more than two. This is to discourage the kind of hoarding and scalping that happened with Tickle Me Elmo and other toys in heavy demand. That said, we should restock Elmo Live continuously throughout the day. Some days we have no stock at all. This is a very, popular toy for Christmas. My strong suggestion is not to wait, especially as we get into December.
