Beatrix Potter
From her earliest childhood, Beatrix Potter loved animals. This love of animals shines out of her charming stories about a variety of animals common to the English countryside – Peter Rabbit, Squirrel Nutkin, Mrs. Tittlemouse, Johnny Town-Mouse. Her characters had plenty of individuality, but also reflected her careful observations of nature. Even today, when most children live in more urban areas, we still enjoy the stories of Beatrix Potter.

Yes — I had Beatrix Potter story books when I was a little kid. I had access to maybe a dozen titles but there are a lot more of them than that. I'm 32.
