The 37th season of Sesame Street introduced a bubbly 3-year-old fairy in-training who moved down the street, from Fairyside. Her name is Abby Cadabby.

Abby can pop in and out of thin air. She can effortlessly hover in mid-air whenever she’s in high spirits. Plus, she can turn mailboxes and salt shakers into pumpkins! But since she is still trying to develop her magical prowess, there are times when things don’t work out exactly they way it’s supposed to when she points her magic wand over something. Strangely enough, her wand can also be used as a cell phone and whenever her mom, the Fairy Godmother tells her it’s time to go home, she would exclaim, “Gotta poof!”

Abby Cadabby is a very curious little fairy who always seems to have so many questions for everyone. She loves to count and write numbers. She is also quite fascinated with crayons and has developed a liking to writing letters using it. She finds everything in Sesame Street very interesting, that one can often hear her say out loud “That’s so magic!”

Abby’s closest friends are Zoe the 3-year-old orange monster dressed in a tutu, Rosita the jolly blue monster who loves to play the guitar, and Prairie Dawn, an intelligent 7-year-old girl who likes to write and direct school shows. Abby teaches Rosita how to speak the Dragonfly language while Rosita teaches her how to speak Spanish.

Abby is such an amusing character with a knack for learning. She is always excited about school and looks forward to discovering new things everyday. She brings more fun to Sesame Street and never fails to make kids laugh. She’s a witty little pink fairy who looks so pretty in her colorful dresses and tiny pink wings. The purple highlights in her hair look great too!

Abby Cadabby is a favorite party theme for little girls, and it’s no wonder they like her so much!
